While we were in Maui, we stayed at the beautiful Grand Wailea Resort, located in the heart of Wailea. We loved this resort! The location couldn’t be better for exploring the island of Maui.
The Grand Wailea is a fabulous property with a ton of amenities and impeccable service. The property has a bunch of different pools, including an adults only pool and a swim up grotto pool bar! There’s also a big water slide that’s a ton of fun!! There are great trails along the beach, which was a fun way to start every day. Plus the location is perfect for exploring Wailea and the island of Maui!
A few tips for staying there. They only have valet parking, and the valet gets really busy. So call ahead and then your car will be waiting for you. Also, this resort is really popular with families, as is almost everywhere in Maui. Try to visit during a time when school is in session as there will be much fewer families.
We stayed in a Napua Suite located in the Napua Tower which I would definitely recommend. Our room was large with a living room and a spacious balcony with ocean views. By staying in the Napua Tower you also have a special concierge, as well as complimentary breakfast and a cocktail hour every evening.

To start the week off we have the fun-filled Hawaiian honeymoon adventures of Brian & Morgan. Here’s what the newlyweds had to say about their trip!Where did you go?
We visited the islands of Maui and Kauai!
What resort did you stay in?
On Maui we stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani, and on Kauai we stayed at the Grand Hyatt
How did you decide on Hawaii for your honeymoon?
We knew that we wanted to visit someplace warm and relaxing, but someplace with so much more to offer than just beaches and nice views. We chose Hawaii because we feel that each island is so diverse and has so much to offer. Hawaii is filled with beaches, romance, adventure, views, culture, shopping and fantastic dining.
What was your favorite part about each resort?
At the Fairmont we loved the location, rooms, pools, restaurants, and staff. At the Grand Hyatt the resort was extremely beautiful, and we enjoyed the hammocks outside of our room to relax in!
What did you like about the islands?
We enjoyed the weather, the scenery, the food and people. Both locations were extremely beautiful and relaxing, both were also very easy to travel to, and we felt comfortable driving everywhere is our rental car.
Did you receive any special honeymoon amenities or upgrades?
Yes we received free desserts, a room upgrade, and champagne!
If you could have changed one thing about your trip, what would it be?
We would have added a hike on Kauai, but we were really enjoying relaxing by the beach and pool our last few days.
If you had to pick just one, what would be your favorite honeymoon memory?
At first, our helicopter tour of Kauai comes to mind, it was an amazing experience. Sometimes though it is the simpler things and we would have to say it was when we were swimming off a beach on Maui and it started to rain lightly for maybe 10 minutes. It was so romantic and relaxing to be drifting along together in the rain. We remember thinking we could not be more happy and the moment could not have been more perfect.
Looking back, is there anything you would tell other couples planning their honeymoon?
Try not to over plan. Pick your favorite outings/excursions but leave several unplanned days as well to relax, enjoy each other and rest! Also this is a once in a lifetime trip, treat it like that if you can splurge, try new things together, and take lot’s of pictures!
What 3 words would you use to describe your honeymoon?
Romantic, exciting, relaxing

We have been getting a ton of requests lately for Kauai, so I wanted to give the island a little lovin’ today! Kauai is one of my favorite islands in Hawaii because of how much it offers. One main road encircles the island’s entirety, excluding the vast 15 mile stretch of cliffs known as the Napali Coast. One of the most exciting activities to partake in when visiting Kauai is a helicopter tour, such as Jack Harter’s “Door’s Off” tour- literally, no doors on this helicopter! They also offer ones with doors if this idea scares you.
By seeing the island from a bird’s eye view, you are able to see so many beautiful things that you would never be able able to see otherwise. From dipping into the vast canyons, to flying along the sea cliffs of the Napali Coast and getting up close and personal with the gigantic waterfalls, the beauty of Kauai is unparalleled.
Another exciting site on the island of Kauai is the Queen’s Bath in Princeville. This “pool” is carved into a lava shelf and is the size of several large swimming pools combined. While it is typically closed in the winter months, the water is almost always calm and crystal clear when the tide cooperates during the summer months. It is just another amazing natural beauty in Kauai.
While you’re there, you also should check out the weekly Sunshine Markets filled with some of the most delicious fruits and veggies you’ll ever eat!
Also check out the Kilauea Lighthouse, a landmark National Heritage site of Kauai that is also a protected wildlife reserve.
The beaches in Kauai aren’t too shabby either!

With heat waves sweeping the country, taking a dip in one of these unique and exotic pools never sounded so good!
First up we have the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Take a break from the casino action and the Vegas-style shows of the Sands in the SkyPark Pool, the world’s largest infinity pool at over 650 feet in the air. The Marina Bay Sands is a perfect stop on your way to or from Bali.

This third pool had us doing a double take. Carved into the natural beauty of of Punta del Este, Uruguay, the pool at Fasano Las Piedras is the perfect way to unwind after a round at the resort’s Arnold Palmer designed golf course.
Not only does each ultra-luxurious, glass-fronted suite at the Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge afford stunning views of the majestic flora and fauna of South Africa, they each feature a private plunge pool. There’s no better way to end a day of observing Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, and Rhinos than floating beneath the unadulterated, star-filled African sky.
Lastly, we have a private plunge pool at the fairytale luxury resort Wildflower Hall at Shimla in the Himalayan Mountains. Bask in tranquility as you take in the awe inspiring beauty of the world’s highest mountains.
