Glam it up in a Plum Pretty Sugar Robe

I decided to put together a fun little gift bag for each of the ladies on our recent trip to Anguilla and St Barths.  The highlight of these was definitely the adorable robes from Plum Pretty Sugar!

I am wearing the Swish Skirt Robe Lovely No. 1 which is part of their Castelbel & Trumpet Collection. I truly adore how comfortable these are, in addition to how darling it is! Also, if you’re like me, you’ll love all the cute sashes you can buy to mix and match and make it your own! I think it’s an essential item for your honeymoon or getting ready on your wedding day.

Thank you so much Plum Pretty Sugar for being so sweet and for keeping me ladylike while I lounge!

Wedding Bloggers Holiday in St Barths

Real Vacation |

All aboard! Jillian from 100 Layer Cake, Leila from Inspired by This, Jen from Green Wedding Shoes, Summer from Grey Likes Weddings, and our lovely photographer Jen Huang (along with all of our men) jumped onboard a boat for quick ride from Anguilla to enjoy the second part of the trip on the incredible island of St Barths.

I little insight into my love of these two islands starts with how they both offer such different experiences despite being so close to one another.  Anguilla is super laid back and slow moving, with funky beach bars serving rum punch cocktails, and steel drum music.  Arrive at St Barths for an incredibly European feel with beautiful architecture, amazing restaurants, a cute town, and exciting nightlife.

Our home during our time in St Barths was Hotel Le Toiny, my absolute favorite hotel in St Barths!  This hotel features 15 private villas, each with a private pool and ocean views!  It’s located in a really private and secluded area of the island, but still just a short drive to the incredible beaches, shops, and restaurants on the island.  And one of my favorite things about this hotel is the amazing breakfast each morning, which you can choose to enjoy in your villa or to have in their restaurant.

We had so much fun during our time in St Barths!  The first night we headed over to Hotel Carl Gustaf at Victoria’s Restaurant for an unbelievable three-course wine pairing dinner.  The restaurant hosts gorgeous views of the main town in St Barths called Gustavia. Oh my goodness their salted carmel dessert was just heavenly!

The following evening we had drinks and appetizers at On The Rocks at Hotel Eden Rock which we loved!  It was a perfect evening with great company, and the most amazing food!  I would highly recommend having dinner there one evening while in St Barths!

The next day we headed over to Gouveneur Beach.  Hotel Le Toiny provided towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling equipment, and a picnic lunch.  This was not your average beach picnic – we were blown away by the most incredible lunch spread! Yum!

Wedding Bloggers Holiday in Anguilla

Real Vacation |

I love working in the wedding industry, and that may be an understatement.  One of the biggest reasons is all the fabulous friends I have made!  I’ve been really blessed to have so many wedding bloggers be so sweet and feature Ever After Honeymoons on their blogs, and many of my clients discovered my services from being readers of these blogs. I decided it was time to show my appreciation.

So I thought… Who doesn’t love a vacation, especially one you don’t have to plan? Exactly.

I knew this vacation had to be unforgettable for my marvelous wedding bloggers, so I chose to visit two of my favorite islands and hotels, bring a photographer along to capture the trip, and let each of them feature their trip on their blogs to share these fabulous spots with their readers.  And that is how the idea was born!

I spent an incredible week, and I had a blast with Jillian from 100 Layer Cake, Leila from Inspired by This, Jen from Green Wedding Shoes, Summer from Grey Likes Weddings, and our photogapher, Jen Huang.  All of our men came along as well (lucky ducks!).

Our adventures began in Anguilla at the incredible Viceroy Resort.  Oh my goodness, I love it here!  This is a large resort which is spread out along the most amazing beaches I have ever seen.  There is so much to treasure about this resort: the incredible design by Kelly Wearstler, the gorgeous beachfront pools, the fabulous restaurants with the most amazing food and drinks, the friendly genuine service, and of course the jaw dropping beaches.

The Viceroy Anguilla resort absolutely spoiled us!  From massages at their spa, to cocktail parties, to a private dinner on the beach followed by a bonfire with s’mores, this was truly an unforgettable experience!

Plan a surprise for your sweetie!

Feature |

One the best pieces of advice I can give you when planning your honeymoon is to arrange a surprise for your sweetie! Who doesn’t love a surprise and this trip already is so thrilling that a surprise is going to take it over the top, which I believe every honeymoon should be!

Most of my couples have do things for each other based on their interests.  I had a bride set-up a surpirse fishing trip for them to go on together one because he was a huge fisherman. Another time I had a groom arrange for a wrapped box of Louboutins to arrive to the hotel room for her to wear out that evening for their first dinner.

Making special upgrades that are unexpected can make for a memorable and exciting time and not as much planning. How about arranging for helicopter transfer on arrival or setting up a private dinner on a private rooftop. Taking a peek at what your resort offers is a quick way to make arrangements.

This one is for very daring couples only! I’ve had grooms plan the entire honeymoon!  The bride didn’t find out where they were going until they got to the airport. Can you imagine? I mean, how do you pack for that?!

Happy planning!
