The Louise Australia

Hotel Feature, Travel |

If you’re thinking about taking a trip “down under” you definitely will not be disappointed no matter where you end up!  Australia is not only stunning with both sandy beaches and red rock terrain, but you can go on adventures that are unlike anything you’ve ever experienced!
When clients come to me with Australia on the mind, The Louise in Australia in Barossa Valley is the first place I think of.  It’s a really unique boutique style hotel with an incredible restaurant and it’s a great base for exploring the vineyard rich region.  They even have some really cool experiences like Breakfast with the Kangaroos, wine tasting, and cooking school!
Italy or Napa Valley might be the first place that comes to mind when planning a wine tasting adventure, but the Barossa Valley in Australia is full of gorgeous vineyards and delicious wines!  The Louise sits right in the heart of the valley and offers tons of opportunities to experience it all in some amazing ways.
If you’re interested in booking a trip to The Louise or anywhere else in Australia, shoot me an email, I’d love to help!
Happy travels!

Bulgari Hotel Milan

Hotel Feature |

If you’re looking for a hip, trendy destination for your honeymoon then Milan is definitely at the top of my list!  A lot of fashion designers have opened really trendy restaurants and bars in Milan and there is incredible shopping, with both popular designers and boutique shops.
When deciding on where to stay The Bulgari Milan is always one of my top choices.  It has the largest gardens in Milan and it’s a really popular place for locals to visit as well, including many fashion designers, models, and soccer players.

I think Milan is a great place for couples to stay that want to visit some beautiful scenic places like Lake Como, but also want some fun nightlife!

Bali

Real Honeymoon |

Nadia and her new hubby Nolan came to me wanting to honeymoon somewhere that was the perfect combination of relaxing yet adventurous all while experiencing a new culture and way of life.  I knew that Bali would be the perfect place for them!  I decided on the districts of Uluwatu, Seminyak, and Ubud in Bali to allow them to experience everything that they wanted to on this trip.  They were able to relax on sandy beaches but also visit exciting places like the Monkey Forest and Elephant Safari Lodge!

When I asked Nadia and Nolan what they loved about Bali they answered: “We both absolutely loved the food and the service. Everyone in Bali was very hospitable. In Uluwatu we really enjoyed the Bulgari hotel and the view from the hotel. In Seminyak we enjoyed the liveliness of the town and all the beach bars and in Ubud we enjoyed visiting the Monkey Forest and Elephant Safari Lodge.

I was able to get them a 3 bedroom Villa upgrade at the Bulgari Resort as well as desserts at night and a $100 credit for dinner.  At the Oberoi Resort it was all set so that they received a welcome dessert and free dinner and then at the Uma Ubud they provided a bottle of wine and desserts as well as a complimentary cycling tour for the newlyweds.  Organizing for special honeymoon upgrades is one of my favorite parts of my job and I love how well these hotels treated my clients!

French Vineyard Honeymoon

Hotel Feature, Travel |

With one of my best friends (Summer from Grey Likes Weddings) getting married this week at the beautiful Sunstone Winery, I can’t help but have vineyards on the brain!  Today I want to share two of my favorite French getaways for those looking for a romantic, wine country, escape post-wedding!

The Les Sources de Caudalie is in the rural part of France and has everything from a full-service health spa to golf driving-range on site!  You can rent bikes to explore the grounds or stay on the property and enjoy the outdoor tennis courts and swimming pools.  Everywhere you look seems like you’re in a postcard so definitely don’t forget a camera!

The Chateau de la Barre is filled to the brim with incredible antiques, art, history, and beauty.  If you’re wanting a honeymoon that is filled with both relaxation and adventure, then you definitely want to check this place out!  It’s less than 2 hours from the buzzing city of Paris but is still a unique, historical chateau with luxurious rooms and a breathtaking property.

And in both these places, of course, is some of the best French wine!  So get your toasting glasses and passports ready!

Cheers!

The Never Ending Trip

Travel 101 |

Ever go on a vacation and have the “I never want to go back” feeling??  Happens to me all the time!  With the normal excitement of a vacation mixed with all of the newlywed bliss you’ll be feeling, a honeymoon will be the epitome of that statement.  I always love seeing the ways my clients decide to capture their honeymoon so I’ve decided to round up some of my favorites for you…

Postcards:
Sending yourself postcards from each stop of your adventure is a great way to remember how you were feeling and what you saw in each spot!  Plus, who doesn’t love getting snail mail, even if it’s from yourself!

Travel Journal:
Writing in a journal together would be a fun activity to start off each day as you drink your morning cup of coffee!  It’s a great way to recap the day before and all the fun adventures that you experienced together.  If you bring a Polaroid camera you can stick in photos of the day too!

Journal via In Or Out Media

Video:
While an iPhone app seems like the easiest, most convenient option, carrying a small video camera such as a Flip Cam with higher quality video and longer battery life is definitely the way to go!  If you’re especially brave, some of my favorite videos my clients have shown me have been on a vintage camera like an 8mm.  You can rent one for your trip and even hire a videographer when you get home to put together an awesome video with all of your film!

Local Treats:
Ship a local piece of art or your favorite bottle of wine you came across!  Something that you can visibly keep in your home to remind you of one of the best trips of your life!

Did you do something special and unique to commemorate your honeymoon?  I’d love to hear in the comments below!
Happy travels! xo
