Back to my Bali trip! After staying on the beach in Uluwatu and Seminayk, we headed inland to Ubud and stayed at the Uma Ubud.
We stayed in an amazing pool villa that was completely private with a large outdoor area and beautiful views. A short afternoon shower was the perfect excuse to slip into the incredible spa, and we were so happy we did! They had the most amazing signature treatments.
Uma is really private, but just outside of the busy town. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They provide transportation into town where there are many shops and restaurants. Mozaic, just a short walk away, is an absolute must visit. They have tasting menus with the most incredible food!
The hotel also offers a variety of activities for their guests including beautiful morning walks through the rice terraces and yoga at the pavillion. The concierge can book temple visits, elephant rides and white water rafting for guests as well.
Uma is the perfect place to stay for privacy and accessibility to Ubud’s cultural gems. If you’re looking to plan your Bali honeymoon, send me an email!
After a couple days relaxing at The Bulgari Resort in Uluwatu, we headed north to The Legian in Seminyak. I was really excited to visit this hotel and Seminyak after hearing such great things, and was certainly not disappointed!
Seminyak is the most trendy area of Bali. It is a really cool beach town with cute boutiques, fun beach bars, and excellent restaurants. Seminyak is also a popular spot for surfers. This just might be my favorite beach town I have ever visited! Everywhere we went had such a fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend a stop at the beach bar Ku De Ta (and then download their albums on Itunes!) and dinners at the restaurants Sardine and Sarong!
The Legian is the perfect place to stay in Seminyak. The location could not be more central- right on the beach and walking distance to the town. The hotel has a gorgeous 3 tiered infinity pool, and day beds right over the beach. And incredibly nice, friendly service.
For an extra special honeymoon, stay at The Club at The Legian, which is right across the street from the main part of the hotel. Here are gorgeous one bedroom villas with huge private pools! Super romantic, private, and spacious.

I recently returned from the most incredible trip to Bali. Everyone I spoke to that had been to Bali described it as being a really special, life changing destination. And now I see why. I loved every single thing about the trip and would give just about anything to be back there right this minute!
During my trip we stayed at 5 different hotels, so I will be sharing each of them over the next couple weeks. First up, The Bulgari Resort in Bali. This resort is located in the south, in a very secluded and private area called Uluwatu. It was the perfect start to our Bali adventure!
The resort has 59 villas, each with private pools and ocean views! I loved the large private patio, and massive bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers.
My favorite part of the resort was their private beach. The hotel is located on a cliff, so they have in inclinator that takes you down to their private beach. They have a small restaurant on the way down, and then you arrive at their completely private beach. We took a long walk on the beach one morning, which I would definitely recommend. Not a soul in site, unless you count the couple of monkeys that we saw!
A visit to their spa is another must. The treatment rooms have just 3 walls, so you feel the ocean breeze and hear the waves crashing. They also have a yoga platform where they have yoga classes a couple mornings a week.
The restaurants at the hotel are incredible, including many local Balinese dishes. The pool is gorgeous, with private cabanas, and poolside service with complimentary amenities brought to you.
Everywhere you look is so incredibly gorgeous! The grounds are immaculate and the service is really attentive and friendly. It felt like a dream- just too good to be true!

I recently returned from the most incredible stay at The Ranch at Rock Creek in Montana! This is a luxury ranch with a ton of fun activities, incredible food, and really genuine friendly service. This certainly isn’t your typical honeymoon spot, but is perfect for couples that are really active and are wanting to do something different for their honeymoon.
This is truly an all inclusive experience- not just your food and drinks, but also a ton of activities. We enjoyed a morning hike with gorgeous views, shot clay pigeons, went horse back riding, and even shot rifles and pistols! If I had more time there I would have also loved to go fly fishing, try out their 3D archery, and shoot paintballs. At night is a lot of fun too- the Silver Dollar Saloon has a bowling alley, shuffleboard, and a movie cinema!
The accommodations are really beautiful as well. They have rooms in the lodge, luxury tents on the creek, and also private cabins. Each is immaculately decorated in true ranch style, with fun little details. Everywhere is really spread out which gives you a lot of privacy, and every guest has their own bike to easily get around. We stayed in the Ponderosa cabin which I loved! A few other favorites are Trapper Cabin for total privacy, Bluebird Cabin for romance, and The Historic Barn for families or a big group of friends.
I was so impressed by the details here. The Ranch provides all gear, including cowboy boots! And literally anything you ask for they will provide. Popcorn while you are bowling? Of course! Going on an early morning excursion? They will have coffee and snacks ready for you! Want to have a special dining experience? They will set up a private lunch or dinner on any number of private spots around the property.
