The Greek Islands are one of those quintessential island destinations that continue to allure the most seasoned of travelers. My most recent visit took me to the the chic island of Mykonos. Located in the Aegean Sea the island is known for having a cosmopolitan atmosphere with its exciting nightlife, picturesque Cycladic architecture and magnificent beaches.
Mykonos can be a quiet and romantic destination for a couple looking to relax under the Aegean sun. There is no shortage of amazing beaches; some of my favorites included: Ornos, Paraga and Psarou.
Mykonos is also home to some of the best beach clubs that you’ll find anywhere in the world. Partygoers seeking world renowned DJ’s will delight in the amazing music scene. The beach parties usually start in the afternoon and can go all day long – some even lasting until sundown. There are quite a few beach clubs to choose from but my favorite three are: Nammos , Scorpios, and Sol y Mar.
Mykonos has amazing hotel options but I recommend making the Bill & Coo Coast your home when visiting the island. Bill & Coo Coast is a boutique, 5-star hotel on ten beautiful, beachfront acres.
The hotel is in a quiet and secluded beachfront location that feels removed but is only a short ten minute drive from the town. They also have a sister property located in town, Bill & Coo Suites & Lounge and a complimentary shuttle runs throughout the day that can take you back and forth.
The property has very modern and chic décor but it still feels Greek. Each suite is decorated in an elegant style, with neutral tones and complemented by thoughtful amenities like enormous beds, crisp white fabrics and ultra-modern furnishings.
There are fifteen expansive and well-appointed suites overlooking the sea, five of which have their own private pool.
The hotel has a beautiful pool as well as a private beach area with a lounge bar that serves Mediterranean inspired cuisine and signature cocktails. The property also has some very unique service amenities such as providing each guest with a cell phone so that they are able to contact the hotel staff at anytime if there is something that they need or want.
For dining, you have the option of enjoying a candlelight dinner under the moon or in the privacy of your suite from the set menu at Taverna. Finally, if you are seeking a fine-dining experience, you can enjoy the delicious food served at the signature gourmet restaurant at their sister property Bill & Coo Suites & Lounge. Both restaurants are run by award-winning chef Athinagoras Kostakos.
Mykonos is a destination not to be missed! If you’d like to start planning your vacation at Bill & Coo Coast please email me. We will make sure you that you are well taken care of!
Amanera, meaning peaceful water, is nestled within the pristine Caribbean jungle, overlooking the mile-long golden sands of Playa Grande. This property is Aman’s first resort in the Dominican Republic as well as their first time pairing the unique and one-of-a-kind Aman experience with golf! Infused with the Aman spirit, it’s an exotic yet easily accessible destination, located a short 90 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.
You will feel welcomed from the moment you land in the Dominican Republic. A representative from Amanera will greet you at the airport and escort you through a separate customs line as well as assist you with your baggage. You will then be transported to Amanera in a luxury car, where beautiful beaches and soft-golden sand await you.
Amanera is peacefully secluded with a gorgeous private beach. There are just 25 beautiful villas, with sleek and modern décor as well as the latest high-tech features. If you want more privacy, book one of their villas with a private pool.
The resort has both indoor & outdoor restaurants with delicious food and excellent service. For the duration of our stay, their staff was extremely attentive and kind. If you want a truly unique experience, have them arrange a private beach dinner or setup drinks and appetizers for you on Hole 17, which is the best location to catch an unforgettable sunset.
While visiting Amanera you can stay as busy or relaxed as you please. The property has an incredible infinity pool that overlooks the golden sands of Playa Grande and an excellent golf course right on the water as well as a luxury spa and fitness & yoga facilities. If you want to explore the island, nearby boat trips are offered as well as surfing and water activities. There are also great hiking trails easily accessible from the property.
The combination of style and comfort makes this beautiful resort the perfect destination for your honeymoon. Please email me if you’d like to start planning your honeymoon or vacation at Amanera. We will make sure you that you are well taken care of!

Back to my Bali trip! After staying on the beach in Uluwatu and Seminayk, we headed inland to Ubud and stayed at the Uma Ubud.
We stayed in an amazing pool villa that was completely private with a large outdoor area and beautiful views. A short afternoon shower was the perfect excuse to slip into the incredible spa, and we were so happy we did! They had the most amazing signature treatments.
Uma is really private, but just outside of the busy town. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They provide transportation into town where there are many shops and restaurants. Mozaic, just a short walk away, is an absolute must visit. They have tasting menus with the most incredible food!
The hotel also offers a variety of activities for their guests including beautiful morning walks through the rice terraces and yoga at the pavillion. The concierge can book temple visits, elephant rides and white water rafting for guests as well.
Uma is the perfect place to stay for privacy and accessibility to Ubud’s cultural gems. If you’re looking to plan your Bali honeymoon, send me an email!
After a couple days relaxing at The Bulgari Resort in Uluwatu, we headed north to The Legian in Seminyak. I was really excited to visit this hotel and Seminyak after hearing such great things, and was certainly not disappointed!
Seminyak is the most trendy area of Bali. It is a really cool beach town with cute boutiques, fun beach bars, and excellent restaurants. Seminyak is also a popular spot for surfers. This just might be my favorite beach town I have ever visited! Everywhere we went had such a fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend a stop at the beach bar Ku De Ta (and then download their albums on Itunes!) and dinners at the restaurants Sardine and Sarong!
The Legian is the perfect place to stay in Seminyak. The location could not be more central- right on the beach and walking distance to the town. The hotel has a gorgeous 3 tiered infinity pool, and day beds right over the beach. And incredibly nice, friendly service.
For an extra special honeymoon, stay at The Club at The Legian, which is right across the street from the main part of the hotel. Here are gorgeous one bedroom villas with huge private pools! Super romantic, private, and spacious.
