Happy Thursday everyone! Today, I am super excited to post the first of many “Destination Spotlights.” Throughout the summer, I will be featuring different destinations and hotels that are at the top of my personal list of “Places I MUST Travel To” and I think after seeing photos of some of these places, you will most certainly agree with me. Our first Destination Spotlight is the Hotel Le Toiny in the beautiful island of St. Barths.
One of my most favorite things about St. Barth is that the island has so much culture to offer. The Hotel Le Toiny is located on 38 acres of land in the Côte Sauvage area of the island. The property consists of only 15 private villas that all overlook sparkling blue waters of the Bay of Toiny and the Caribbean Sea. The hotel prides itself as one of the most exclusive and private on the island and each villa has its own gated entrance and private pool. Privacy and alone-time not your thing? The hotel staff is “entirely at [the guests] disposal to arrange any kind of activity,” including everything from snorkeling and surfing to sail boat excursions and big game fishing. The island itself is 21 km of volcanic rock surrounded by shallow reef on all sides, hence, it’s absolutely perfect for hiking and snorkeling.

I’m already packed and ready to go, who’s with me?
I just love sending couples to the Caribbean for their honeymoon! Jesus and Amy recently returned from their honeymoon in St. Lucia and had a wonderful time. They were so sweet to share photos and some details about their honeymoon escape. The newlyweds stayed at the Cap Maison hotel, located on the top of a private ocean-front bluff on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. The hotel and its location are breathtaking, to say the least. What’s more, the service provided by the hotel staff is absolutely impeccable. From making dinner reservations to booking island tours and excursions, the reception and concierge take care of everything, ensuring that their guests are able to relax and not worry about a thing. The hotel also sits on a beautiful private beach where guests can lounge at their leisure.
Amazing, right?? Here are a few images and words from Jesus and Amy about their stay:
“Cap Maison was excellent. We liked that it was small and seemed very private. Not busy and crowed like Sandals or some of the other resorts we saw. When on our excursion tours, we drove by some of the other resorts and talked to some of the other couples and we determined that our hotel was probably the best one on the island. It made us feel pretty good.”

There’s nothing better than knowing you are staying at the best hotel on an island when on vacation. Not to mention, that’s the way it should be when on your honeymoon! I am overjoyed that Amy and Jesus had such a great time! Congratulations again on your marriage! Below are a few other images of the beautiful Cap Maison in St Lucia, enjoy!
Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to plan a little European adventure for the wonderful Lindye Galloway and her sweet husband, Winn. Lindye, of
Lindye Galloway Events, is a Southern California weddings and events specialist, and I was super excited when she approached me about planning a trip for her and her husband. I was absolutely blown away when Lindye returned, having chronicled their ENTIRE trip on a Flip camera! The two traveled to the Amalfi Coast, Rome, Florence, Paris, and to top it all off, they took a DAY TRIP to London for the Royal Wedding. I was so jealous planning this adventure, I wanted to sneak into their bags and tag along with them! Thankfully, the two did a fantastic job chronicling their trip that I almost felt like I was there. You must see their video…
Winn & Lindye’s Europe Adventure!! from Lindye Galloway on Vimeo.
These two are just so cute and fun and I cannot get enough of their video… aren’t they adorable?! And such fun personalities and senses of humor, just the type of people that transform traveling into adventures of a lifetime. It was such a pleasure planning this trip for Lindye and Winn and I am so happy they had such an amazing time!
I am so excited to share the incredible hotel we stayed at in Sorrento, La Minervetta. This hotel has been a long time favorite of mine, so I was beyond excited to stay here! After seeing the pictures I am sure you will see why!
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is built into the hillside right above the marina, with steps right down to the beach. Then you can easily walk to the downtown area.
I couldn’t get over the incredible details everywhere you looked. Just look at the living room area!
And the terrace is the perfect place to relax and take in the amazing views!
Or to cool off in the pool.
The best part- every room is different and each has ocean views.
Beautiful right? And trust me- it is even more incredible in person. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for any couples visiting Sorrento!

Rome is such an amazing city. Every time I visit I love it more and more. Besides the obvious tourist attractions in Rome I love just wandering around small side streets, going in little boutiques, and of course eating at wonderful restaurants!
First up are my favorite pizza places. Da Bafetto is a famous pizza restaurant (pictured above) at Via Governo Vecchio, 114. It is only open for dinner and has long waits so get there early! Another great pizza place is La Montecarlo at Vicolo Savelli, 13. There are tables outside and it is really inexpensive- the perfect place to grab a quick lunch! And finally Pizzeria dar Poeta at Vicolo del Bologna, 45 in Trastevere. This is an amazing restaurant down a tiny street. There are a ton of great pizzas to pick from. We loved the pizza with buffalo mozzarella. They have amazing bruschettas as well.
Ottobre 1980 is also on Via Governo Vecchio. Cute little place with great food!
Another place we loved is Vinoteca Novecento at Piazza delle Coppelle, 47. We sat outside and got a plate of meats and cheeses. Yum!
And finally our favorite pasta restaurant in Rome. Le Mani in Pasta is a wonderful little place at Via Dei Genovesi, 37 in Trastevere. Amazing food, fun atmosphere and the prices were incredibly reasonable.
For gelato my pick is San Crispino (pictured above) at Via della Panetteria, 42. They have really unique flavors like fig, ginger & cinnamon, honey and plum. It was fun to try something so different!
Next week I will be featuring the Amalfi Coast!
