Four Seasons Bora Bora is a gorgeous resort in French Polynesia and it sure does not disappoint! I was lucky enough to visit this incredible resort with photographer Jose Villa, videographer Joel Serrato, Cortnie Fausner from The Venue Report, and Summer Ball from Grey Likes Weddings. We spent our days relaxing, eating amazing food at restaurants with incredible views, getting treated at the spa, riding jet skis around the island, and swimming with sharks (!!!). As you can tell, Four Seasons Bora Bora is the perfect destination for couples who want a tropical paradise getaway. The breathtaking mountains and the clear blue water provide the perfect surrounding for a romantic and surreal vacation. The overwater bungalows are absolutely gorgeous- you can jump right into the water from your balcony!

The absolute highlight of the trip was the full day shark and ray tour with lunch! We went out on a small boat with the most fun guide named Stephen. He was such a character and we laughed nonstop all day! We snorkelled, swam with rays, and even swam with sharks, it was such a surreal experience! Below is a photo Jose Villa took… those are my legs with a shark swimming below!
Four Seasons Bora Bora has a lot of water activities available, from snorkelling to canoes to stand up paddle boards. There is so much to do while you’re there! I would highly recommend riding jet skis around the main island of Bora Bora, we had so much fun! It was so gorgeous to see the mountains on the main island from all the way around. It sprinkled for a little bit and then there was a huge rainbow over the mountains, it was like a dream. And it was incredible to see all of the shades of blue in the water! Even these beautiful photos cannot do it justice – it is so clear. We stopped a couple times along the way and jumped off of our jet skis and swam for a bit. Definitely a memorable experience!

“When my husband and I were discussing options for our honeymoon we knew we were looking for adventure, excitement and an unforgettable experience. Australia and New Zealand would be the perfect destinations for us! Our next move would be our wisest when we chose to book our vacation through Katie at Ever After Honeymoons. Between wedding planning, buying a home, work and everyday life… coordinating a three week escape can be very overwhelming. Katie took the pressure right off of us by booking our flights, hotels and excursions. Ever After Honeymoons was our one stop shop for everything honeymoon related and it was truly the trip of a lifetime!
While in Kaikoura we stayed at our absolute favorite hotel; The Hapuku Lodge. Words can’t describe the splendor of this location. We were upgraded to a luxurious suite at the lodge which overlooked the Kaikoura Mountain Range. It included our own living room, fire place, balcony and spa tub. Not to mention the staff at the location was beyond accommodating. They made us feel right at home, even making me gluten free cookies for my special dietary needs. Every day they had a cooked breakfast and a three-course dinner prepared for us by their remarkable chef. The food was fresh, local and exceptionally delicious. We could have stayed for weeks! While in Kaikoura we also visited the breathtaking beach nearby the lodge and had the chance to interact with the New Zealand Fur Seals which are local to the area. Kaikoura was extraordinary!
Looking back we are so delighted that we chose Australia and New Zealand and very pleased that we were able to see so much of both countries in just three weeks! It was a trip we will talk about for the rest of our lives. My advice to fellow honeymooners is pick a destination that reflects both of your interests, give yourself a few days to recuperate from the wedding before you leave and book your getaway through Ever After Honeymoons to avoid added stress and truly maximize your precious time while on vacation. It was a wise decision that made all the difference for us!”

Not every couple’s dream honeymoon is somewhere tropical. Some love to head over to the mountains and hit the slopes. The fabulous new The Chedi in Andermatt, Switzerland provides just that with its amazing skiing areas of Nätschen and Sedrun. It would make an incredible honeymoon destination for those snow loving couples, but make sure you pack the essentials! Get inspiration here and don’t forget to grab that delicious cup of hot cocoa to warm up afterwards!
