Just a few miles west of Maui, Lanai was once Hawaii’s largest pineapple plantation. Now, Lanai is a small, private island and is the perfect Hawaiian destination for a couple who truly wants a tranquil tropical honeymoon. Four Seasons Lanai at Manele Bay is perched atop a rugged red-lava cliff above a white sand beach. I was lucky enough to visit this luxurious resort recently, and will tell you all about it in my next post! For now, take a look at the Four Season’s beautiful photos.
Incredible, right?! Even better- clients of Ever After Honeymoons receive a room upgrade whenever available, complimentary breakfast daily, and a $100 resort credit!

Nihiwatu is located in Indonesia on Sumba Island, a short flight from Bali. This place is unbelievable! The island is really untouched, so you get an authentic, non touristy experience. There are a lot of traditional villages, animals, and tons of open space. If you love surfing, you’re in luck! Nihiwatu is a big surfing destination. All villas come with private pools, and all meals are included. I have had 2 couples here recently that LOVED it! It’s such a great spot for couples wanting a real “off the beaten path” experience, while still having all of the luxuries at their fingertips. “From exhilarating experiences including access to privately surf one of the world’s best left-hand break waves, to world-class sport fishing and diving to the purest shores of our 2.5 kilometre private beach, sunset gazing or star-lit dining; each stay is expertly crafted through a personalized approach shaped by pleasure not design.”

Today we’re sharing a real honeymoon from Kevin & Courtney. They were initially thinking of going to Europe for their honeymoon, but once I suggested St.Barths and Anguilla for them they were sold! Courtney was kind enough to answer a few questions below about their favorite parts of their honeymoon at Hotel Le Toiny in St.Barths and the Viceroy Anguilla.
Where did you go?
St. Barths (Hotel Le Toiny) & Anguilla (Viceroy Anguilla Resort)
Why did you decide on these destinations?
We wanted to go somewhere totally new. We considered Europe but after filling out the questionnaire and hearing about St. Barts and Anguilla we were sold!
What did you like about the destinations you traveled to?
St. Barths was our favorite place we have ever been to. It’s such a remote island and simply beautiful. We loved everything about it the culture, the FOOD, the remote beaches, the people and all the sights to see. Anguilla was completely different, such a beautiful island with the carribean vibe. The beaches were the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen with white sand and the bluest water. They also had so many great food places outside of the resort it was so awesome going to places like Blanchards Beach Shack, eating with your toes in the sand and admiring the beautiful water.
Did you receive any special honeymoon amenities or upgrades?
In St. Barths we were upgraded to a full villa. It was so beautiful we could live there forever! We also were greeted with champagne and delicious desserts. In Anguilla we were greeted with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries which was great after a day of traveling! We also had a spa credit and used it towards a couple massage which was simply amazing.
If you had to pick just one, what would be your favorite honeymoon memory?
St. Barths was definitely getting to our villa and seeing our pool and view and feeling like rockstars. Also when we found Gouvernor Beach we absolutely loved it there and felt like we were in a dream. In Anguilla was definitely the day we chartered a private catamaran through Le Chocolat. It was the best day cruising around the crystal clear water and stopping at Sandy Island for lunch.
Is there anything you would tell other couples planning their honeymoon?
Definitely be opened minded to somewhere totally new. It’s your honeymoon so dream big and go for it! If you pick St. Barths definitely stay at Le Toiny and rent a car but be careful driving! It takes a while to get used to the rugged terrain. In Anguilla go to as many restaurants as you can so much good food. In Viceroy defintely go to Coba and get the Mahi Mahi it was the best ever!
What 3 words would you use to describe your honeymoon?
Breathtaking, Secluded and Amazing Food!
