These adorable Indianapolis newlyweds, Matthew and Emily, packed their bags for a romantic honeymoon in the Caribbean to the island of Antigua. Their six-night getaway was at Cocos Hotel in Antigua.
They stayed in a private premium cottage with an ocean view nestled at the top of a hill. The cottage hosted a patio furnished with a hammock, an outdoor shower with an ocean view and a fridge restocked daily. Maybe this is why one of their favorite things was “the endless and delicious tropical drinks.” I certainly cannot blame them!
Matthew and Emily adored the white sands, clear blue waters and mountain views. Beyond celebrating their wedded bliss at the beachside bar or fine dining spots in this tranquil locale, they also had a blast participating in activities like onsite kayaking and snorkeling in the aquamarine waters.
Coco’s Hotel truly offers a secluded, private and serene environment, but the couple shared how they loved meeting couples from all over the world and gave a rave review about the friendly staff.
Matthew and Emily look absolutely picturesque in Antigua! Thank you for sharing your best moments and memories.

Planning: Ever After Honeymoons
I apologize for the lack of posts around here- things have been extra busy planning incredible honeymoons around the world, and working on some fun projects that I will be sharing soon! Today I have an amazing honeymoon to share from a couple that recently went to South Africa. Beach honeymoons aren’t for everyone, and South Africa was the perfect honeymoon destination for Han & Amanda! They loved the blend of chic city nightlife, relaxing day trips, and adventurous activities. They have so many beautiful pictures from their adventures!
Han & Amanda started their honeymoon in Cape Town, and enjoyed a day trip to Table Mountain
Amanda enjoying the view from a ledge on Table Mountain. Clearly she isn’t afraid of heights!
Penguins on Boulder Beach!
Next Han and Amanda headed off to Thornybush Private Game Reserve and stayed at Serondella Game Lodge. This is a small game lodge with incredible service, and includes dawn and dusk safari drives every day. Han and Amanda saw so many beautiful animals!
Cute baby zebra!
A beautiful kudu, which is a species of antelope
A lion, captured mid roar!
The highlight of their game drives was coming across this mother and baby rhinoceros enjoying a quiet morning walk. How adorable is that little guy?!
Thanks so much Han and Amanda for sharing your honeymoon! Interested in going to South Africa for your honeymoon? Contact us!
I am so excited about sharing this honeymoon to Bora Bora because Shannon and Scott did such a fabulous job documenting their adventures! In an effort not to forget a single memory and to share all of their adventures with friends and family, Shannon and Scott kept a blog detailing all of their fun in the sun in Bora Bora.
For any couples in the process of planning their honeymoon, especially if you are heading to Bora Bora, you have got to check out Shannon and Scott’s blog They have a lot of great advice and opinions for anyone that might be heading that way. Here are a few other pieces of advice Shannon and Scott had to share:
— Go Big or Go Home: This was our honeymoon, we went where we wanted, did what we wanted, and had the time of our life. Truly, a dream honeymoon that was absolutely perfect.
— Research Beforehand: TripAdvisor was a big help to us, validating our choice. Bora Bora is not for everyone. It is a quiet, relaxing island. Nightlife is for the most part nonexistent. Life slows down there. It was wonderful for us because it was just what we were looking for.
— Jot It All Down: If you don’t want to forget a thing, jot it down. Note every moment, every experience, every special person you come across. Our family and friends loved reading our blog, however, it really was for us. We wanted to preserve these memories for a long time. Journaling this experience was something we were truly interested in doing and posting it on a blog was an afterthought (and a good one at that!)
Scott and Shannon had an incredible stay at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort in an Overwater Bungalow. Just look at their beautiful patio!
How cute are they?!? Scott and Shannon were so much fun to work with, and I loved that they kept a blog about their adventures! Such a fun way to always remember their honeymoon!

Ben and Lauren were open to any and all suggestions when it came to their honeymoon. So after getting to know the two a little, I suggested the beautiful island of Ambergris Caye in Belize and it was the perfect destination for these newlyweds! Ambergris Caye is not only beautiful and relaxing, but the people of the island are incredibly friendly and welcoming!
Ben and Lauren stayed at Victoria House in their own private thatched roof casita. The 42-room resort is stretched across 10 acres of white sand beaches and lush tropical gardens. The property is in a prime location, providing guests with privacy, and also opportunities to fish, dive, snorkel, visit ancient Mayan ruins, and more. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Upon their return, the newlyweds had some great information for other couples planning their own honeymoons: “Don’t overdo it with “activities.” Make sure you build in time to relax and just be together. These will be your first memories together as husband and wife – allow yourself the time and space to savor them.” Well said! Thank you so much, Ben and Lauren, for sharing your honeymoon with us!

The Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Riviera Maya was the perfect location for newlyweds Jonny & Athena to escape for their honeymoon! The property was both a perfect oasis to relax, and also close enough to daytime adventures and nighttime city-life when the two felt like getting out. The resort is a stunning wildlife preserve, filled with exotic plants and animals, all of which they were able to enjoy first hand.
What I love about this honeymoon is how well Johnny and Athena split their time. They spent a lot of time relaxing on the sand, drinking fruity drinks and soaking up the sun, and they also did fun excursions and really immersed themselves in the surrounding culture. Here are a few of their favorite activities, from swimming in the historic cenote, to zip-lining, to exploring old Mayan ruins, and going snorkeling.
So fun, right?? Thank you so much Johnny and Athena for sharing your adventures with us! Interested in going to The Banyan Tree Mayakoba for your honeymoon? Contact us!!
