Viceroy Riviera Maya

Hotel Feature |

One of my favorite parts of my job is getting the chance to travel so frequently! I love visiting new spots, and being able to tell my clients first hand how amazing destinations and hotels are!  When a Viceroy Resort recently opened in Riviera Maya, I quickly made plans to check it out.  So in 2 weeks I will be flying off to the Viceroy Riviera Maya!

The property has 41 individual villas, each with a private pool and a hammock on the patio!  There is also a gorgeous spa, yoga classes, wonderful restaurants, and a lounge that offers tequila tastings.  Sign me up!

The location can’t be beat.  The hotel is located right on a gorgeous secluded beach.  And then just 3 miles south is the town of Playa del Carmen, which has a number of cute boutiques, fun beach bars, and great restaurants.

I will be taking lots of pictures during my trip and look forward to sharing more about this amazing property!  Interested in going to the Viceroy Riviera Maya? Contact us!

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises – Russian River Cruise

Discover |

I have another wonderful cruise to share!  On the Uniworld Imperial Waterways of Russia, history-buffs can follow the path of Peter the Great from Moscow to St. Petersburg and discover the heart of Russia!

The Imperial Waterways of Russia is a 13-day River Cruise of the Volga River, Europe’s largest & longest waterway. Discover the rich Russian history & traditions, starting in Moscow, and then cruising along the Golden Ring to some of Russia’s most beautiful cities, including Uglich & Yaroslavl.

This journey is ideal for travelers looking to experience all that is Russia at one time, seeing some of the world’s finest art & distinctive architecture. The best part about the Uniworld Imperial Waterways of Russia is that it not only takes you right to all of the great river-front Russian cities everyone should visit when in Russia, it also leads you to tucked-away villages with authentic Old World charm.

Paul Gauguin Luxury Cruises

Discover |

Up first is one of my favorite cruise lines, Paul Gauguin. The Paul Gauguin luxury cruise ships are designed specifically to sail the shallow waters of Tahiti and French Polynesia, taking guests to smaller ports that larger cruise ships can’t access.  I love this cruise line because they include everything up front: all meals, all beverages (including wine and spirits), all gratuities, and many watersports.  So nice that everything is included up front!

Each Paul Gauguin ship also has its very own state-of-the-art Retractable Watersports Marina attached to the ship where you can just hop right into the bright blue waters below. So fun, right??

On each Paul Gauguin voyage, you are given the perfect amount of time to fall in love with each island before you are whisked off to another island paradise.

Right now there are some amazing offers with Paul Gauguin Cruises, including free flights from LAX and greatly discounted rates!

Small Ship Cruises

Discover |

Like all-inclusive hotels, cruises typically have a bad reputation.  But just like all-inclusive hotels, there are definitely some incredible exceptions!  When you think of cruises, some of the first things that come to mind are cheesy monstrosities, overflowing with obnoxious kids and bad food, but there are some cruise ships that are ideal for honeymoon couples!!

Photos By Pamela Hanson

Unlike your typical larger cruise ship, Small Ship Cruises are luxury vessels that hold around the same number of people as a small boutique hotel so you don’t feel like cattle being transported on a freighter. Most Small Ship Cruises are also designed specifically to navigate shallow waters, taking you to a handful of different island paradises all in one trip. And really, what’s better than waking up in a new paradise every day?

Next week I will be sharing some fantastic voyages! I can guarantee that by the end of the week, we are all going to wish we were sailing away together on one of these small ship cruises!

Ambergris Caye, Belize

Real Honeymoon |

Ben and Lauren were open to any and all suggestions when it came to their honeymoon. So after getting to know the two a little, I suggested the beautiful island of Ambergris Caye in Belize and it was the perfect destination for these newlyweds! Ambergris Caye is not only beautiful and relaxing, but the people of the island are incredibly friendly and welcoming!

Ben and Lauren stayed at Victoria House in their own private thatched roof casita. The 42-room resort is stretched across 10 acres of white sand beaches and lush tropical gardens. The property is in a prime location, providing guests with privacy, and also opportunities to fish, dive, snorkel, visit ancient Mayan ruins, and more. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Upon their return, the newlyweds had some great information for other couples planning their own honeymoons: “Don’t overdo it with “activities.” Make sure you build in time to relax and just be together. These will be your first memories together as husband and wife – allow yourself the time and space to savor them.” Well said!  Thank you so much, Ben and Lauren, for sharing your honeymoon with us!
