Hotel Spotlight: Vik Chile in Millahue, Chile

VIK Chile is a fabulous property that I was so fortunate to experience recently!  It’s an amazing spot to start or end a wonderful South America adventure.  It’s an architectural dream sitting on 11,000 acres, nestled in Chile’s Millahue Valley.

The property boasts unprecedented architecture, design, art and décor as well as world-class wine offerings from it’s own vineyard, which is located right on property.

The hotel is approximately a 2-hour drive south of Santiago and has 22 suites.

Each suite is uniquely designed with one-of-a-kind artwork and furniture from around the world.

The floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms and throughout the property give guests panoramic views of the beautiful landscape, filled with rolling hills, vineyards and a picturesque lake.

As a part of you stay, guests are invited to visit the on-site vineyard, Vina Vik for an afternoon of wine-tasting.

The wine-tasting is led by a skilled sommelier who will explain the unique tastes and complexities of their wines.

For those wanting to keep busy, there are plenty of activities including: hiking trails in the vineyards, horseback rides through the vines and mountain biking through the valley. These activities are very unique to the destination and I would recommend taking advantage of as many of them as possible.

The hotel’s restaurant, Mila Mila offers a superb dining experience marked by vibrant flavors and focusing on authentic South American cuisine, including traditional barbeque, fresh fish, seafood from the coast and locally grown produce, paired with VIK wines that have been bottled on-site.
