Travel Diaries: Four Seasons Lanai at Manele Bay, Hawaii

Travel |

I just shared a hotel Spotlight on Four Seasons Lanai at Manele Bay, and now I want to share my personal experience! I definitely recommend this resort to any couple who is looking for a laid back, tropical vibe on their honeymoon. The island of Lanai is fairly big, but only has the Four Seasons on the beach, a Four Seasons Lodge on the hillside (which has a more mountain lodge feeling), and a very small town. The rest of the island is empty! It’s so beautiful! The arrival experience was great. You fly into Hololulu, where someone meets you at the gate, drives you to the other airport and it has a nice lounge with drinks and snacks. You check in to the hotel in the lounge so you can go right to your room when you arrive in Lanai.  Then just a quick flight from Honolulu to Lanai, drive to the hotel, and you are in paradise!

There is a frequent shuttle between the two Four Seasons resorts so you can easily visit both, and each resort has such a unique vibe! We stayed on the beach and had dinner at the lodge one night which was really nice. Then one day we rented a hummer and drove around the island. Everywhere was so beautiful and completely empty!

Then also be sure to hike out to Sweetheart Rock.  It is a very easy hike from the Four Seasons at Manele Bay and the views are incredible!

The resort is currently undergoing a lot of updates, so it will be even more amazing once those are complete.  Lanai is such a gorgeous island and perfect if you want something a little off the beaten path and more unique. And clients of Ever After Honeymoons receive complimentary breakfast daily, a $100 hotel credit, and an upgrade whenever available.

Email me if you’d like to find out more about the resort and if you’d like help planning your honeymoon!
